Week Three CFB Pick'em
Week Three is here, as the crew takes their shot at the biggest games of the week!
Let us know what you think the comments below!
Florida State @ Louisville
Ralph- FSU is well rested after their upset win in New Orleans over LSU. I feel like this is the turning point for the Noles and that they can hopefully start competing for a conference championship again. (FSU 31 - Louisville 24)
John- The Seminoles have jumped out to a 2-0 start. With an impressive win in Cajun Country at night. I think Chief Osceola grounds the Cardinals 27-22
Bryce- Florida State has looked impressive, but Malik Cunningham will find a way to get Cardinals in the win column, Louisville wins 23-16.
#12 BYU @ #25 Oregon
Ralph- Oregon has not shown me enough this season to make me believe they are a top 25 team. BYU is coming off a huge win against Baylor. (BYU 35 - Oregon 20)
John- Well the Cougs from BYU surprised me with last weeks win over Baylor. The Ducks rolled up a lot of points on a lower level team last week, but could do nothing with the #1 Dawgs. I say Ducks offense gets on track at home, 38-29!
Bryce- BYU was impressive last week against Baylor, but can they do it on the road? I’ll take Oregon in a big home win, 31-27.
#20 Ole Miss @ Georgia Tech
Ralph- Ole Miss has started off exactly as I expected them to this season but with a better defense. Tech will have their hands full with an elite offense that can beat you through the air and on the ground with their 3 headed beasts at running back. (Ole Miss 42 - Tech 17)
John- Ole Miss invades Atlanta to play The Ramblin Wreck! Neither of these teams have impressed this prognosticator! The Rebels win on athleticism alone 41-26!
Bryce- Georgia Tech just doesn’t have enough offense to hang with Lane Kiffin’s bunch. Ole Miss finds their offense, while the defense flexes in Atlanta, Rebels 34-16.
#22 Penn State @ Auburn
Ralph- Auburn has a QB problem. There is no doubt about that. Penn State is not the team you need to have those problems against either. Auburn is going to need excellent play from one of their quarterbacks on Saturday, and need to pressure Clifford on any drop backs. (PSU 28 - Auburn 17)
John- Happy Valley comes down to visit the Loveliest Village on the Plains. Is this a football game or an episode of “Little House on the Prairie”! The Lions have the only quality win as they did beat Purdue. Auburn’s wins have come against lesser opponents. But it’s hard to win in War Eagle country, but I think the Nittany Lions take a close one, 28-27!
Bryce- At some point we have to stop and just say Auburn is a bad football team. Jordan-Hare will be rocking, but the Nittany Lions will find a second-straight win against the Tigers, 28-20.
Mississippi State @ LSU
Ralph- I love this matchup. MSU is such an interesting team with their war strategist of a coach, and a team that is just hard to put away. LSU will need stellar play from Jayden Daniels and their defense to hopefully get some stops. (LSU 49 - MSU 45)
John- LSU put up 37 points in the 1st quarter of last weeks game, 51 by halftime. But, (and that’s a big but), they were playing the Juggernaut Jaguars
from Southern University! The Bulldogs of Miss. State have put up big points on more competitive opponents. Leach’s Bulldogs win, and a lot of points are scored! 44-38!
Bryce- Mike Leach is always good to win about three or four games that jsut make you scratch your head and say how? This is the game, the Bulldogs beat LSU in Death Valley this year with Will Rogers gaining some national attention, 44-34.
