Three offensive recruits LSU is zeroing in on for the 2026 class
The Tigers are looking to bolster the 2026 class, who could be next on the offensive side of the ball?
Visit season has concluded, and commit season is in full swing, as the LSU staff is looking to bolster the 2026 class after being involved in some heavyweight battles over the past month or so. Here are three targets on offense that I’m keeping an eye on when it comes to the Tigers’ 2026 recruiting class
Jase Mathews, WR
The wide receiver room that could enter as freshmen next year is exciting, to say the least. With Tristen Keys, Jabari Mack, and Kenny Darby already in the fold, LSU has been searching for the “right fit” for that fourth spot. Enter Jase Mathews. LSU has done a good job of making sure that Matthews feels welcome, even in a potential star-studded wide receiver class. On his recent official visit to Baton Rouge, wideouts coach Cortez Hankton told the Mississippi native that he would love for him to be a part of this class. Matthews has been flirting with other SEC programs, but the recent visit to LSU has folks inside that building feeling good about where things stand. I like where LSU sits as Mathews nears a decision.
Darius Gray, OL
LSU has been courting Gray for some time now, and I think the job done by Brad Davis here will ultimately benefit the Tigers in the long run. While LSU still has a chance to pull in Immanuel Iheanacho, I think Gray has a much better shot at landing in Baton Rouge. Davis is tenacious as a recruiter, and after Gray’s visit, he was able to get a good feel for the development side of things. The Tigers have done a good job here, so I’m feeling good about where things stand currently.
Brayden Fogle, TE
The tight end position has been a weird one as LSU has missed out on a few targets. Although the narrative could differ. Talking with Fogle over the past few months, new tight ends coach Alex Atkins has made it clear that he wants the Ohio-native to make LSU his new home. Atkins has reportedly zeroed in on Fogle, pointed out by being one of his early offers during his tenure. While the portal is undoubtedly an option for the Tigers at this spot, if LSU does add a high school tight end, then I’m penciling Fogle as the one who calls Baton Rouge home.

Fogle picked up a crystal bal to Georgia, going to be hard to see him make LSU the choice as of now
