Recruiting Roundup: Hardaway vs Troup
Recruiting analyst, Ralph Leary takes a look at the top performers from last Friday night's game.
In our first high school game of the week, talent was on display as we saw two talented recruits from the Chattahoochee Valley area. Mykel Williams, a four star defensive tackle from Hardaway, and Royce White, a three star offensive tackle/defensive end from Troup County battled back and forth all night, and were joined by a potential breakout candidate.

Williams, who has offers from almost every power five college in the country was a menace on the field and a huge problem for Troup’s offensive line. He matched up against Royce White for most of the game in the first half but was moved around on the line in the second half where he created chaos in Troup’s backfield. He showed a raw talent that coaches look at to be groomed into an elite pass rusher, and with him only being a junior this year we will see his offers list grow every day as he receives a new offer almost every day.
White ,who may look undersized for an offensive tackle, will surprise you with a quick first step and large hands. The Memphis commit used his hands to his advantage on Hardaway’s defensive line. He may be listed as an offensive lineman but Memphis may have other plans for him next year, as he has experience on the defensive side of the ball. White is a natural born leader for a young Tiger’s team that loss some talent last year. The influence of White on his younger teammates was evident on Friday night.
The breakout player of the night was Hardaway running back Jordan Moultrie. Used all over the field for the Hawks, Moultrie showed his versatility and is athletic ability in space. Troup was struggling to bring down the powerful tailback, as he was able to put up 157 yards on the ground with two touchdowns Moultrie is an underrated player for the Hawks, but being a junior could see some offers coming his way sooner than he expects.
