Recruiting Q&A: Colorado State DL Commit Tyrone Fitten
The Callaway (Ga) defensive lineman talks about why he made Colorado State his decision
Tyrone Fitten had a stellar junior campaign with the Cavaliers in 2024. The defensive lineman committed to Colorado State back in June. Fitten led an impressive defensive line for the Cavaliers that made the second round of the AA GHSA State playoffs. His ability to be a run-stopping interior lineman is why his name was on a lot of college boards this fall.
What made you choose Colorado State? What made it different than other schools?
The reason I committed to Colorado State was because I love the coaches, the players , and the atmosphere was great. The difference between Colorado State and other schools was the community has things for the kids around Fort Collins. Also the weather is great in Fort Collins.
What did you learn about your college recruiting experience? And what were some of your favorite things you got to do?
My college recruiting experience has been great, I have learned a lot of things such as being humble ,staying patient, and also not letting up after I got told I was to short to play D1 ball. My favorite thing I got to do through out this process was going to different colleges and meeting new people.
What are you working on this season that will be helpful going into college?
“This season I have been working on my get off, hand placement, and also staying consistent.”
