BREAKING: Leo Blackburn suffers knee injury, likely done for the year
Jackets lose promising receiver to devastating injury
Per sources, Georgia Tech wide receiver Leo Blackburn reportedly suffered another devastating injury this week with an ACL tear. Blackburn would be done for the foreseeable future. Still working to confirm all the details, but it does seem that Blackburn was injured this week in practice.
The in-state native had a promising future with the Jackets, but has been hampered by multiple injuries, including one ACL tear already. He caught five passes for 81 yards and one touchdown last season, showed what he is capable of doing when healthy in Tech’s win over Duke.
At 6'5, 220 pounds, Blackburn brought a different skill set with his size and athleticism that Georgia Tech needs in its passing game. Georgia Tech will now look to counter this loss with its influx of transfers and younger players stepping up.
